This medication is for use on the face as directed, usually once a day at bedtime. Apply a pea-size amount of cream to clean, dry skin on the face being careful to avoid the eyes, nostrils and mouth. Cover affected area lightly. Wash hands after use. Do not use this more often than prescribed or in large amounts. It will not give your faster or better results but will increase the risk of side effects.

Side Effects:
When you first begin using Renova, you may have mild burning, itching, scaling, redness or stinging. This may continue to a few weeks as your skin adjusts to Renova?s active ingredients. If these symptoms do not subside or are severe, stop using Renova and talk to your dermatologist. Renova should not be applied to sunburned skin, or to eczema patches or other skin conditions. You will experience a gradual improvement in skin quality and most improvement will be noticed in the first six months of use. Renova can be used to treat acne, but you will notice that it may get worse at first, and then begin to show improvement.

Warnings:
Tell your doctor if you have any skin problems or allergies before you begin using Renova. Use of Renova will increase your sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid excessive exposure to the sun or to sunlamps. You should wear protective clothing and a sun block when you are outside. If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor about using Renova. It is unclear whether Renova is excreted into breast milk, so talk to your doctor before using Renova while breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions:
Make certain your dermatologist is aware of all other prescriptions you are taking, as well as any over the counter products you are regularly using. Do not combine Renova with anything containing isoRetin-A, amiodarone, tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, sulfa drugs or phenothiazines, since they also increase your sensitivity to sun. Do not use Renova along with any other facial products that dry skin. Avoid any harsh soaps or cleansers, or anything containing minoxidil or Benzoyl peroxide, as well as anything containing alcohol.

Missed Dose:
Renova should only be used once per day, generally at night before bed. If you forget a treatment, use it as soon as you remember, then return to your normal schedule the next day. Be careful not to apply it more than once a day.

Storage:
Store Renova at room temperature, which is 59-86 degrees (15-25 C). Do not allow it to freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
