Nasonex Uses:
Using Nasonex will help ease nasal allergy symptoms such as congestion or stuffiness.

Nasonex Directions:
Always shake your Nasonex bottle before administering a dose. You may also need to prime the pump on the spray bottle, which your pharmacist can show you. Nasonex prescriptions are generally written for two sprays per nostril per day. You should use this amount routinely to get the best results. If you want to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies, you would do best to begin using Nasonex at least two to four weeks before you generally experience allergy symptoms. Most people report an improvement in as little as two days, and say that they feel the most improvement after one to two weeks.

Nasonex Side Effects:
The most common side effects associated with Nasonex include headaches or sore throat. Notify your doctor if these do not go away. Rare side effects that require immediate attention include nausea, unusual nasal bleeding or irritation/pain, vision changes, blood-tinged mucus/phlegm, weight loss, unusual increase in thirst or urination, or weakness. It?s possible to experience allergic reactions while taking Nasonex, and symptoms include dizziness, rash, trouble breathing, itching, or swelling. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you have side effects not listed here.

Nasonex Warnings:
When prescribing Nasonex, your doctor will ask about your medical history. Make sure to include any allergies, other nasal problems, current infections, cataracts, or glaucoma. When you are using corticosteroids, especially oral drugs, you should be careful not to be exposed to chicken pox or measles. If you have been exposed to either, call your doctor. This medication may be absorbed into the bloodstream, requiring special corticosteroid treatments. Those who?ve been using Nasonex for an extended time, or children, are particularly vulnerable to this problem, especially when there is also a medical issue such as surgery, injury, or major infection. This is important to remember for at least a year after you stop using Nasonex. This product can affect children?s growth patterns, so use caution with them. Your children?s doctor can answer any questions. If you are planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using Nasonex first. Nasonex is excreted in breast milk; so do not take this medication while breastfeeding.

Nasonex Drug Interactions:
If you want to use Nasonex, your physician should know about all other drugs and medications that you routinely use, such as any other corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone) or other nasal products. Your doctor or pharmacist should approve any changes in your medication, so don?t stop or start anything without their knowledge.

Nasonex Missed Dose:
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next regularly scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and use the next one as directed. Do not use a double dose of this medication.

Nasonex Storage:
Store mometasone nasal at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Avoid prolonged exposure of the product to direct light when mometasone nasal is removed from its cardboard container. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.

Anything Else I Should Know About Nasonex:
Nasonex is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Nasonex is used nasally to prevent and treat the nasal symptoms of allergies and other seasonal reactions.
