Levitra Uses:
Men can take one dose of Levitra® in every 24 hours, as desired. The medication works to block and enzyme called phosphodiesterase-5, or PDE-5, which then relaxes smooth muscles in the penis and improves blood flow. Once blood flow is changed, a natural erection can happen with stimulation.
Levitra Directions:
Make sure you read and follow the instructions for Levitra. If you have questions about any aspect of the directions, talk to your doctor or pharmacist for clarification. Take your pill with a full glass of water. Levitra may be taken with or without food. It will work to help you achieve an erection during sexually stimulating situations, but will not automatically cause one. Levitra should never be combined with grapefruit juice or grapefruit, since it can lead to a dangerous interaction. Most men can take one pill in 24 hours, but your doctor may recommend that you limit yourself to one pill in 72 hours. If you experience any physical symptoms such as angina (pain, tightness, discomfort, numbness, or tingling in the chest, arms, neck, or jaw), nausea, dizziness during sex, make sure your doctor knows. Seek immediate medical attention if your erection lasts over four hours. Sustained erections can lead to injury or even impotence.
Levitra Side Effects:
The most common side effects associated with Levitra are flushing, headache, nasal congestion, and dyspepsia (indigestion).
Levitra warnings:
If sexual activity causes any angina (pain, tightness, discomfort, numbness, or tingling in the chest, arms, neck, or jaw), nausea, dizziness, let your doctor know. Medical conditions such as multiple myeloma (a disease of the bone marrow), sickle cell anemia, or leukemia can cause you to have long lasting erections, so use Levitra with caution. Be cautious also if you have Peyronie?s disease or any genital deformity. Go to the emergency room if you have an erection that lasts for four hours or more, since it can result in serious damage. Use Levitra with caution if you have any bleeding disorders, a stomach ulcer, or genetic retinitis pigmentosa. The safety of Levitra has not been adequately studied when used in combination with these medical conditions. Levitra provides no protection from sexually transmitted diseases, such as HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Women should not take Levitra. Its effects during pregnancy have not been studied.
Levitra drug Interactions:
When discussing Levitra, your doctor will ask about all medications, both prescription and nonprescription, that you are currently using. Make sure to list any nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate), mibefradil, cimetidine, nitroprusside (any "nitric oxide donor" medicines), rifamycins (e.g., rifampin),erythromycin, azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), or high blood pressure medicines.
Levitra Missed Dose:
The prescription Levitra is only used as needed, so there isn?t a dosage schedule.
Levitra Storage:
Levitra should be stored out of the reach of children. It should be kept in a place free of moisture and sunlight, and at room temperature.

Levitra medication relaxes the muscles inside the penis. This means that the blood can flow into the penis and cause an erection. Levitra will help treat erectile dysfunction.
