Buspar Uses:
Buspar (buspirone) is an anti-anxiety medicine, used to reduce fear, tension and anxiety associated with anxiety disorders. Buspar affects the chemicals in your brain that may have become unbalanced and are causing anxiety.

Buspar Directions:
If you have an upset stomach while using Buspar, take your medication with food or milk. You should be careful to use this prescription just as directed. Never take more than prescribed, or more often than directed. You should begin to see an improvement within seven to ten days of beginning Buspar therapy. It can take up to three to four weeks for the medication to be fully effective.

Buspar Side Effects:
Buspar may cause side effects including drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, weakness, vivid dreams, sleeplessness, dry skin, blurred vision, altered sense of taste and smell, weight gain, muscle aches, ringing in the ears, nausea, headaches. Call your doctor if you struggle with any of these. Consult with your doctor as well if you have breathing difficulties, abnormal movements or "twitches" of the face or neck muscles, other involuntary movements or tremors, confusion, in coordination, depression, or chest pain. If you notice other effects not listed above, talk your doctor or pharmacist about it.

Buspar Warnings:
If you have to drive or operate heavy machinery, be careful. Buspar can make you feel drowsy or dizzy. Do not do anything that is potentially dangerous until you know how you will feel when using Buspar. Do not combine alcohol and Buspar. The two together can increase your chance of drowsiness or dizziness.

Buspar Drug Interactions:
If you take Buspar in addition to other products that cause drowsiness, such as muscle relaxants, antidepressants, sedatives (used to treat insomnia), pain relievers, anxiety medicines, and antihistamines, their effect can be increased. Your doctor should know about all other medicines and non-prescription drugs you are using. Buspar can also cause negative side effects when combined with grapefruit or grapefruit juice. Don?t change the amount of grapefruit you regularly eat until you?ve talked to your doctor about it.

Buspar Missed Dose:
Take Buspar according to instructions, and take a missed dose when you realize it, and then resume your normal dosing schedule the next day. Do not double dose.

Buspar Storage:
Buspar should be stored at room temperature. Keep it away from moisture and sunlight, and out of the reach of children.
